How do you organize your pages in your books? I have always picked a color for where we lived.. Example.. Hawaii was blue, Washington is green, Japan is red, California is black but since living in Va there is no color code. Now since we live driving distance to family ( 8 hrs ) I do it by year.

Do you make one for each of your children?
do you put like things together? ex, camping in one book
do you always go in order when putting them together? ( mine are all done by order)

Sorry so long?? I am just struggling with ways to do my books :D

Mine are chronological by year, and I try to put the pages in order by month. I do have separate albums for big vacations and for our motorcycle trips.

This is such a great question! :)

All of my yearly albums are black (American Crafts D-Ring). Each year has it's own album, so yeah, those are chronological.

When I do special albums, I pick a different color (still AC albums) to use. My cousin's baby books are all in different colors - pink for Grace, blue for Andrew and I think Rachael's will be purple. But I won't keep those - they'll go to my aunt & uncle's house.

Oh Lord, you all would be appalled to see my albums. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to any of the colors or any order to any of the albums. Maybe someday I will get that straightened out lol.

I don't pick any certain colors for my albums, just whatever strikes my fancy in the store.

I have a family album that I do in chronological order. Typically one full album per year for our family. I used to do a album for each individual girl, and I stopped those when they were about 6. I still do one for Hayden, since she is younger. I also do an album for each big vacation. As far as type of albums, they are all mixed & matched since I have gone through different favorites over the years. When I started scrapping 14 years ago, I used the CM albums. SO, my first few years are those. Then I switched to the making memories albums (post bound), and used those for about 7-8 years. Finally, came to find the AC D-ring albums, and that is what I use now. I've love them all to match, but I have spent so much $$ over the years on these albums. SO, they will stay the same. :) :)

I also have a mismatched set of albums---though finally found the ones I love!!! WeRmemory keepers faux leather Dring! THey have tons of colors! I really wanted to go with all one color--like black....but then they would all be on a black shelf--so I am slowly buying them in black, red and a light apple green.

Though--I am dying to see the new Doodlebug albums!!!

I generally have them chronologically. I have one for my marathons, one for school, my great-niece and my nephew each get their own too! Then I generally have a separate one for CHristmas and the Summer visits with my Sister and her family. (we take a TON of pics!)

I've given up trying to be organized, I just scrap whatever I feel like scrapping. I do have a few albums that are themed, like a couple recent trips, vintage family pics, etc.
