Back Porch Memories

I have made Christmas cards in the past, but never before December. I cheated this year and bought a card making kit at CKC this past summer. I finished them all ready. (Only 12 though, I have to make a few more.) I am excited to have finished these.

Do you make Christmas cards and have you started them yet?

I usually digitally design them and have them printed. But last year I used a pre-designed Shutterfly card and it was cute and easy. I'm actually doing that again and, funny you should post this because I'm about to work on them now I want to get them ordered this weekend so we can have them in the mail the day after Turkey Day! Since we moved this year I want to be sure people have our new address and haven't forgotten.

For 15 years I have designed an entire 11x13 scrapbook page and had it reduced and printed at a local printing shop. It has gotten harder and harder with the more kids (6 now) and more activities so this year I am retiring the "page" and moving to a card. I have yet to decide whether to send a traditional handwritten card with a family photo included inside or to use a shutterfly design...I love traditional cards for their beauty and elegance but shutterfly is so quick and easy...

I am making the change so that I can manage a Holidaily for my immediate family, it's my take on a December daily but including Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.
