Happy December!

I love Christmas...and I didn't always. I have a little boy now to "make the season bright." Still, even when I was single there were holiday traditions that I enjoyed with my family. And there were delicious foods that became available every Christmas...ahhh, the food :)

One of the things that drives me crazy about Christmas is how hard it is to get great present-opening photos. It's pitch black here when Jack tears into the pile under the tree, and I just can't bring myself to put non-clashing PJ's on him on Christmas Eve. The photos are never lovely, but I scrap them anyhow so he can look back at some of his favorite toys and how they came to be his.

Now the traditions that precede Christmas? There I can get some great photos. One of my annual holiday tasks (used to be a chore before I improved my work flow) is to make rum cakes for my husband's best clients. Don't get too excited - I use a box mix. But there's a cup of rum in each. They're delicious, and popular, and I need to make 18 of them this year. Six are done, thus this page. Tomorrow I'll do six more.

Paula's kits this month are perfect for scrapping holiday traditions, and if you're like me you can find some fun, festive papers in your stash as well.

Your challenge this month: tell the stroy of some aspect of your December, whether it's something you do, people you visit, food you love, decorations that warm your heart...anything that makes your holidays bright!

And the obligatory fine print:
You have from now until midnight Eastern time on December 31 to complete the challenge. You may complete as many projects using the challenge as you wish. Each project will earn you an entry into our monthly prize drawing. Please upload your layout to our gallery in the appropriate "December Challenges" folder to be eligible for the prize.

This is a great challenge. Love your LO Margy. It does look delicious.

Berta, Fun page.... makes me laugh! Back in 1993, I think I had one of those hair styles---of course I was very young then!
