So last night before the kids went to bed I heard a big crash. A couple of kids came running and yelled, "Mom, the sink fell!" "What? How is that possible?" So I went downstairs and sure enough the sink was on the floor loaded with dirty dinner dishes! Great!!

I guess the not so handy people who lived here before tried to fix so many things and we have been repairing all their mistakes, totally messed up on the sink too! And I am having an open house tomorrow for my daughters graduation! My kitchen smells, the water is off and a pipe is broke aaaannnnnnddddd my husband is in meetings all day and insists on fixing it himself. I know he can do it but this just wasn't on the list!!

Calgon, take me away!

Oh no

But really is it bad that I'm laughing, too?! Because I'm so not surprised this happened in that house full of crazy do-it yourself fixes  Wasn't your phone line tiled into the wall or something crazy like that?!

I hope it's an easy fix! Good luck with the party amd congrats to DD!!!

Well my sweet husband went to home depot and got two opinions on how to fix it. He went home and did an amazing job. I was able to get my kitchen cleaned and food started for my daughters graduation open house. About two hours before the open house started, I was rinsing a dish and the sink collapsed again!!! Right now it is being propped up in place by 2 x 4's and every spare piece of wood we have. It looks foolish!!! I wonder how long it is going to be like this since my husband is leaving town for a week tomorrow. Hahhhahhhahhaaa!

Oh my gosh...I know your husband feels bad! lol I would be ready to kill him. At least you did get at least somewhat ready for the open house. And at least you had a funny story to tell. I feel bad...I can't even imagine life without a sink. I have been there though. Washing dishes in the bathtub is no fun task! lol
